Recommended ZCode Settings

ZCode Beginner Path · Step 2

Configure these settings once after signing in. The four essentials are GLM-5.3-Flash + Full Access + Computer Control + Browser Control.

Quick Checklist

  • Use a built-in BigModel plan;
  • choose GLM-5.3-Flash for everyday tasks;
  • enable Full Access;
  • enable Computer Control and its input-box button;
  • enable built-in Browser Control;
  • enable workspace memory and indexing.

1. Start with a Plan That Is Enough for Testing

Open Upgrade from the account menu in the lower-left corner.

Use the built-in plan when you are only testing. If you want to start with a paid plan, choose GLM Coding Lite first. The page captured on September 4, 2026 showed prices starting at CNY 118; check the current ZCode page for the latest price and benefits.

2. Use GLM-5.3-Flash for Everyday Tasks

GLM-5.3-Flash is enough for most everyday tasks. It is fast and supports image input. Switch to another model only when a complex or long task needs it.

Open the model menu below the new-task input box and select:

BigModel → GLM-5.3-Flash

3. Enable Full Access

Open the permission menu in the lower-left corner of the input box and select Full Access. ZCode can then modify files, run commands, and use tools without stopping for repeated permission prompts.

4. Enable Computer Control

Go to Settings → Computer Control, then:

  1. enable Computer Control;
  2. enable Show the computer-action button in the input box;
  3. confirm that Accessibility is authorized;
  4. confirm that Screen Recording is authorized.

5. Enable Browser Control

Go to Settings → Browser Control and enable Built-in Browser Control.

Importing Chrome sign-in data is optional. Use it only if you want the built-in browser to reuse websites where you are already signed in.

6. Enable Memory and Indexing

  • Settings → Memory: enable Workspace Memory;
  • Settings → Repository Index: enable indexing for new folders and instant repository search.

Completion Check

When you create a new task, confirm that:

  • the model is GLM-5.3-Flash;
  • the permission is Full Access;
  • the computer-action button appears in the input box;
  • the built-in browser can be used by the task.
